Shirley Hooker was born in Waco, Texas on October 30, 1945, to Alma Brooks and Ivan Mosley. She attended public school in Waco and Austin, Texas. She also completed the 7th and 8th grade overseas in the country of Scotland (UK) where her stepfather was stationed in the USAF. As an adult, Shirley was fortunate to spend time living in Japan and in Bangor, Maine.
Shirley was well known for her sense of style and was blessed with the skill of cooking, and she always provided and presented her family and friends with delicious meals. One of her favorite TV shows was Wheel of Fortune and she amazed us at how quickly she would solve the puzzles.
She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Kerry Hooker; Children: Tamika Bryant (Jermaine), Angela Mosley, Keylon Mckee (Rebeca), Kerry Mckee, Robert McKee and Tommy Nobles (Grace) and Leonard Nobles who proceeded her in meeting the Heavenly Father; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
