Patricia Jane Dotson

Patricia Jane Morris Dotson, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 13, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on January 2, 1960, in  Baumholder, West Germany to Gisela and Raymond Morris. 

She was married to Harold Dotson, who preceded her in death in 2002. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Al Dotson Jr. and Shatina Dotson. Patricia is survived by her children, daughter-in-law Jacqueline Dotson, son-in-law Shannon Carey, and her cherished grandchildren Victoria, Yahzmene, Sha’Ve, Larae, and Jazsmin. She is also survived by her sister, Angelika Williams, brother, Jerry Morris, and her children's godparents, Darryl Johnson and Elaine Jackson, along with a multitude of friends and family who loved her dearly. Patricia was a loving and nurturing presence in the lives of all who knew her.
Known for her warm and loving spirit, Patricia was often affectionately called "Mom" by many of her children’s friends. Her home was a sanctuary, where she opened her doors to create a safe and loving environment for everyone.
Patricia had a passion for baking, renowned for her beautiful cakes that brought joy to those around her. She loved singing and dancing, filling her home with music and laughter. Above all, she cherished her family, embracing not only those born to her but also those who became part of her extended family. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her loving spirit and the joy she brought to so many.
