In Loving Memory of Nadjia Nicole Roberts
June 25, 1981 – May 7, 2026
Nadjia Nicole Roberts, age 44, peacefully departed this life on May 7, 2026, in Temple, Texas, surrounded by her loving family at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
Nadjia was born on June 25, 1981, in Hubbard, Texas, to Kevin Johnson and Patsy Roberts-Thompson. She was lovingly reared in Hubbard, where she attended school and graduated from Hubbard High School at the turn of the century. Soon after graduation, Nadjia relocated to Temple, Texas, to begin building a life centered on purpose, family, and service to others.
Driven by her passion for children and education, Nadjia enrolled at Temple College, where she earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Child Development, along with certification in Childcare and Development Administration. Her dedication and nurturing spirit led her to an opportunity with Central Texas 4C, Inc. in Temple, Texas. There, she faithfully served as a Head Start classroom teacher before eventually being promoted to director. Through her work, Nadjia planted seeds of kindness, discipline, faith, and love that will continue to blossom for generations. Every child who crossed her path experienced something special through her care, guidance, and compassion.
Family was the heartbeat of Nadjia’s life. She cherished creating meaningful memories with her children and grandchildren through family outings, adventures, and moments of togetherness. Her love for God was equally evident. After finding her church home at Rivers of Living Waters Ministry, Nadjia’s greatest desire was for her entire family—especially her children and grandchildren—to know and love the Lord as she did.
Nadjia was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Sarah Roberts.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving parents, Patsy Roberts-Thompson and Kevin Johnson Sr.; her devoted children, Laquesha Roberts, Kaiana Roberts, Zion Roberts, and Bryson Roberts; her beloved siblings, Shamar Mitchell, Ramona Roberts, DeKevion Johnson, Kevin Johnson Jr., and Kevinisha Strahan; and her treasured grandchildren, Jabriah Roberts, Za’Tyiah Gainer, and Ka’Nylah Rogers, all of whom she lovingly ensured were dedicated to the Lord.
She also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, church family, and countless lives touched by her warmth, strength, and unwavering love.
Though Nadjia’s earthly journey has ended, her legacy of faith, compassion, and devotion to family will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
