Lee Peterson Obituary

                             “Remembering SGT Peterson”
Lee A. Peterson Jr. was born on September 27, 1963, in Birmingham Alabama, to the late Lee Andrew Peterson and Fannie Lee Peterson. He was raised in both Alabama and New York alongside his siblings Belinda, Brenda, Donnell, Michael, and Antasha - forming the foundation of a life built on love, loyalty, and service.

After graduating from Parker High School, Lee proudly joined the United States Army, serving honorably from 1983-1996. His dedication to the military continued beyond active duty, as he went on to work as a contractor in service to the armed forces - a testament to his unwavering sense of duty and commitment.

Lee was deeply loved by all who knew him. Known for his easy laugh, big heart, and calm presence. He brought joy wherever he went. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and could often be found cheering them on during football season. He also loved listening to his favorite music and going on spontaneous road trips. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend - someone who lived his life for his family and gave of himself without hesitation.

Lee’s memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife, Annette H. Peterson. His children, Lee A. Peterson III (Uyen), Natalie N. Peterson, Kayla M. Mims(Donavan), David A. Peterson; and his granddaughters Aria A. Peterson and Noelle C. Mims. He is also survived by his siblings Belinda D. Gulley, Brenda L. Peterson, Michael A. Peterson, and Antasha D. Peterson; his aunt Dorothy Hopkins; and host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents Lee & Fannie Peterson; his brother, Donnell Peterson; and his grandmother Romelia. He is forever loved and will forever be remembered.

Lee A. Peterson Jr. was a man of honor, heart, and humility. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the lives he touched. He was forever loved and will forever be remembered.
