Joe Tellez

Jose Maria Beltran Tellez, 93 of Elm Mott, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on January 12, 2024. 

Jose was born on April 9, 1930 in Rosebud, Texas to the late Lorenzo and Leonarda Tellez.  He was a devoted husband to Martha, loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.  

He retired from General Tire of Waco.  His great joys in life were his family, hunting, fishing, farming and his pass time he liked to harvest pecans.  He was an excellent authentic Mexican-style cook and the family especially enjoyed his tamales around the holidays.  

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leona Terri Tellez, and sisters; Petra Rodriquez, Santiaga Lopez, Concepcion Carrizales, Lorraine Montelongo, Leonor T. Lopez, Guadalupe (Lupe) Rael and brother; Catarino Tellez.

He is survived by his daughters; Victoria Tellez and Vera Marie Tellez Jarmon and husband, Michael Jarmon, and sons; Joe Tellez Jr., Lorenzo Tellez and Harold Due and his wife, Linda.  He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
