Gwendolyn Sue Sharpe was born on May 23, 1953 in Monahans, TX to Joe and Mary Trowbridge. She passed from this life on September 7, 2024 in Killeen, TX, at the age of 71.
Gwen worked for the state of Texas at an environmentalprotection agency. She started as a secretary and worked her way up to web developer before her retirement. As a side business, she operated a fireworks stand for many years for the July 4th and New Years holidays. Gwen enjoyed spending time with family (especially her two grandsons), camping, watching football, and reading. She was a member of the Church of Christ and worshiped at the Killeen congregation the last few years of her life.
Gwen is survived by her daughter Michelle McIntosh and husband Phil; grandsons Lex and Ivan McIntosh; brother Richard Trowbridge and wife Rita; sisters, Cindy Oldham and husband Kent, and Christy Noey; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family would like to express thanks to Baylor Scott and White Hospice for the care they provided and the members of the Killeen Church of Christ who assisted the family during her decline due to her dementia. She is now at rest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Killeen church of Christ building fund.
