It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Gloria L. "Yaya" Gonzalez, who entered eternal rest on February 4, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on April 6, 1946, in Corpus Christi, Texas, Gloria lived a life exemplified by grace and devotion.
Gloria was deeply cherished for her humble spirit, unwavering faith, and the boundless, unconditional love she showered upon her family. She found immense joy and solace in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in the precious moments spent with her beloved grandchildren, the melodies of her favorite music, and the tranquility of her meticulously tended garden.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Enrique Gonzalez, who was the love of her life. Gloria's loving legacy continues through her children: EJ (Lori) Mancha, Melissa Campbell, Marissa Hernandez, and Judith Gonzalez. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: John (Criselda) Villarreal, Jackie (Joseph) Najera, Linda Villarreal, Joanna (Ruben) Deleon, Joey (Margaret) Villarreal, Brenda (Gil) Guerreo, Janet (Steve) Kendig, Mark Villarreal, Jeff Villarreal, and Manuel Villarreal. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her adored grandchildren: Briseyda, Amaya, Javier, and Axel Hernandez, and Italia and Grecia Faraci-Gonzalez, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jose and Janie Villarreal; her brother, Frank Villarreal; her son, Everardo Javier Mancha; and her sister, Dolores Oriley. Her indelible spirit and loving presence will be profoundly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Her life stands as a testament to enduring faith and familial devotion, leaving an enduring mark on everyone she touched.
