Garren Darneyl Richie, 41, of Waco, Texas began his eternal life in Heaven on April 9, 2026,
He was born on May 29, 1984, in Texarkana, Texas and was raised by his devoted parents, Vanessa Jackson and bonus dad, John Jackson. Garren was a 2002 graduate of Midway High School in Hewitt, Texas. Garren had a natural ability to build strong, lasting relationships. That gift carried into his work environment at Area Wide Protective (AWP) and his brother's company, Adjutant Elite Protection, where he assisted in providing security Services throughout Central Texas, As his health began ro decline and limit his body's ability to perform as he desired. he sought employment in the food service industry. At his untimely death, he was employed with Jersey Mike's.
While Garren will always be remembered as a faithful employee, it was his funny nature, kind heart, and determination to offer excellent service that will leave a lasting impact. The way he made others feel seen, heard and valued is not something he learned, it was his innate nature. Anyone who knew him will never forget his amazing smile.
He was preceded in death by his great-grand parents and grand parents; William and Vernita Gamble aka "Papa Bill and Grandmama" and Nathaniel and Dorothy Cooper, aka "Papa Cooper and Nano" who genuinely loved and spoiled him. He had excellent examples of love from his Great-grand parents, Elder OT Scoggins and Christine Scoggins. Although he never fathered any children, he had a deep love and protective nature of family. Especially his nieces and sister. He was truly a blessed young man who loved family and was loved by family.
Garren leaves to cherish his memory, his loving mother Mother, Vanessa Jackson (John), Father, Rhonnie Richie, siblings, Cory Jackson, John Jackson II (Shakeyeria), sisters, Amber Jackson, Crystal Richie, Taundria Sewell, Taria Colbert, and Tyler Richie.
