Claudette Gaither Obituary

Claudette M. (Williams) Gaither, age 64, of Gholson, passed away peacefully February 15, 2025, at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, to spend eternity with her Lord and Savior. Claudette was born September 20,1960, in Waco, the eldest daughter of Haskell and Ferne (Wagoner) Williams. She would later be blessed with three additional siblings. Claudette grew up in Gholson, Texas, graduating from Acquilla High School (1979) and later Texas State Technical College. While in high school she met and married her future husband, Kirk Gaither Sr. (of 32 years). To this union five beautiful children were born. Claudette's family and her Christian faith were integral parts of her life. She accepted Christ at an early age, while a member of the Gholson Church of God in Christ. She later served several ministries in various capacities throughout the body of Christ. She actively participated in the Texas Apostolic Prayer Network, Glory of Zion, Lamplighter Ministries, led and participated on prayer teams and prayer flights. Claudette was very civic-minded and actively served as secretary of the Gholson Planning and Zoning Committee. Professional Employment included - Ascension Providence, The Boys Ranch, and Waco Center for Youth. She was a friend and prayer partner to many, always ready to listen and offer encouragement. She found pleasure in tending to her yard, engaging in numerous outdoor projects and riding around in her grey Yarus car. Above all, she valued time spent with her family,
grandchildren and especially her great grandson (Khalil). During life's most trying moments, Claudette remained steadfast in her faith, drawing strength from her belief in God and family.


She is preceded in death by her parents; Haskell Williams, Ferne W. Jackson and stepfather, David L. Smith. Claudette leaves to cherish her memory, her darling children, Christopher Gaither, Brandy Gaither, Nancy Gaither, Kirk Gaither Il, and Matthew Gaither; sisters, Cloddy Williams and Jacqueline Toppen; brother, David (Tanya) Smith; her grandchildren, Natayla Shelton, Isaiah Gaither, Lyrik Taylor, Jarvis Taylor Jr., Elisha Taylor, Kirk Gaither Ji's two daughters, and Cherish Gaither; her great- grandson, Khalil Taylor; her godparents, Paul and Fran Arthur; her Prayer partners; a special cousin, Danny (LouElla) Wagoner; and many nephews, relatives and friends.
