Charles Tatum

Charles was raised in Waelder, Texas.  He relocated to Waco, Texas from Houston in the early 80’s where he resided until his passing. Charles was known for his strong work ethic, his love of music from his youth, and his love of family and sense of humor. He is survived by his living children Darren Miller Tatum, Phoebe Tatum Hunt (Charles), Jerome Tatum (Sheryl) Tomeka Tatum Satchell, and Charesta Sharay Pope.  Two sons proceeded him in death; Dennis and Darryl Tatum . Charles is survived by siblings; Lawrence (Tootie), Willie B , Gertie, Lois Miller (Michael), Alma, Johnny and David Tatum.  Three siblings proceeded him in death; James Tatum, Ethel Jean Tatum (Mamacita) and Octavia Tatum (Pee-wee).  Charles parents Lessie and Lawrence Tatum, Sr., proceeded him in death. 

He is also survived by a devoted and loving ex-wife Vertielure Tatum and a host of grandkids and great grandkids. Charles will be truly and deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
